On November 14, the inaugural CSPN Prepaid Tuition Conference 2014 will be held at the Innevation Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leveraging the technology within the space, Live Stream of the event will also be available.

The conference is expected to have a good turnout for its first year that will include state representatives, corporate affiliates and guests. This year’s agenda features over 14 speakers from near and far, as well as leadership across CSPN and the financial services industry. After a welcome by Sheila Salehian, co-chair of the CSPN Prepaid Committee, kicking off the event will be a greeting by Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall. Betty Lochner, the CSPN Chair, will provide an overview of where the industry has been and where it’s going. To help the organization achieve its goals, Betty will also provide an overview of CSPN’s strategic plan for 2015-17.

Expect a mix of presentations throughout the day by plans such as Mississippi’s trailblazing “Reopening of a Program,” and Florida’s “Navigating through Major Changes in a Prepaid Plan.” In addition, roundtable discussions will take place to provide interaction among participants including information on operations and marketing. In the afternoon, a legislative update will keep attendees in the know on recent trends and announcements. Lastly, tactical discussions including online marketing and insuring prepaid plans will be presented and discussed.

The CSPN Prepaid Tuition Conference 2014 promises to be an exciting event and is another example of the breadth and depth of the 529 plan industry.
