World Braille Day

Since 2019, World Braille Day has been celebrated annually on January 4th. In November 2018, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to honor this yearly observance in acknowledgment that inclusive written materials are essential to achieving full human rights. World Braille Day is celebrated on January 4th in recognition on Louis Braille’s birthday, the inventor of Braille. Learn more from the UN.
